1. There has been no media or news released for RE5 since the prerender trailer shown at E32k6, that's a year and 8 months since we've seen anything. 2. At Capcom's gameday, they showed nothing for RE5. Not only that, but there were NO, I repeat, NO RETAIL games shown for the PS360. The only non-downloadable games for any of the three consoles were RE:UC, RE4 Wii, and Treasure Island Z. Call me a conspiracy theorist, but I think Capcom is planning on keeping RE5 on the Wii as well. It's a new console generation. If they were going to release the sequel to their flagship franchise, they'd probably port the previous game to the console beforehand in order to build up some fanbase first. In that case, why no PS360 port of RE4?
"I mean, c'mon, Viva Pinata, a game with massive marketing, didn't sell worth a damn to the "sophisticated" 360 audience, despite near-universal praise--is that a sign that 360 owners are a bunch of casual ignoramuses that can't get their heads around a 'gardening' sim? Of course not. So let's please stop trying to micro-analyze one game out of hundreds and using it as the poster child for why good, non-1st party, games can't sell on Wii. (Everyone frequenting this site knows this is nonsense, and yet some of you just can't let it go because it's the only scab you have left to pick at after all your other "Wii will phail1!!1" straw men arguments have been put to the torch.)" - exindguy on Boom Blocks
