A project like a poke'mon mmo would take about 2~3 years if it's going to encompass everything pokemon is. (Maybe even 5 years.) I'd figure kingdom hearts 3, Street Fighter Wii, a new Mario game (tennis or something), a new game similar to Wii Balance board, Head tracking using the Wiimote from he reverse end to track up to 4 players at once, and a new shooter or some immersive game to go along with it. Those would all be something that could get the core crowd. More rationally though, probably just a release date on Red Steel 2 and stuff like that.

I expect alot more than what you said. Nintendo rarely announces, games , and when they do they announce them at large events. If they don't announce something at E3 what are people going to get in quareter 3 and 4. And seeing as most of the games you mentioned are 3rd party other than the mario game then you are really underestimating what we will see. Nintendo has absolutely no games anounced for quarters 3 and 4, and what they are going to announce mario tennis and be like bye? I don't see that.

Wii Ware with so many ZOMG titles
MMORPG Animal Crossing
Pikmin 3
Kid Icarus
Wii Music
Preview to next Wii game (Possible Wii Sports 2 with online)

GTA4 for the 360 was announced at the Microsoft announcement meeting not at the Take Two one. So some third parties announcement do take place at the console maker press conference. but yeah sorry I could have been more precise...

other dragon quest and final fantasy remakes on ps2/DS/PSP say hi.  Just look at final fantasy 3 and 4 on DS.

I would love love love a "New Super Mario World" for the Wii... 2d platformer glory in the vein of Super Mario World just like "New Mario Bros." for DS was an homage to 'Mario Bros.' for the NES.
