Man It doesn't really look all that great. Kinda yawntastic, on the second vid towards the end, it looks like one of the guy glitches out when he is getting shot. Have fun waiting on this one.

You guys, keep complaing about the slow pace of the game. First of all, I rember a day, when in a FPS, you didnt run 45mph. I also, recall in real life, that it is hard to hold a 75lb semi-auto-matic grenade launcher, and do a 180, and then precision aim, and kill the guy behind you in less than 4 seconds. Oh wait, only RAMBO can do that in real life. Oh wait... RAMBO dont even do that!!! HAR HAR! We have a new super-hero, it's called. Modern FPS.

That's the main reason I dont care about FPS any-more, just the overall feel of the games, is so bleh, and so, meh.
I want to play a FPS that feels REAL. That feels like if you were actually running around out there, actually tripping over dead bodies. That has been one of my biggest dissapointements in modern games, is, the graphics look amazing, but it's so fast. *twitch* that the game *twitch* looses it's *twitch* strategic, enjoyment *twitch* factor. In all honesty, the more they slow the game down, the better it looks to me.

Um, COD4 is hardly realistic.  I don't know how any game that has respawning enemies (until you pass a magical checkpoint) can pass for realistic.  For a realistic game, try any Rainbow 6 game before R6: Vegas, or Ghost Recon 1.  Or even better is Operation Flashpoint and Armed Assault. 

I would call COD4's gameplay to be a little more arcade like than anything. However, what it does have that makes it an awesome game is the combination of everything happening around you to make it feel very immersive.

What makes Call of Duty 2 and 4 (haven't played the first one yet) so awesome is how Infinity Ward has married lots of action on the ground and in the air and also put in lots of great sound effects to make what's going on feel like a larger battlefield than the linear path you'll otherwise be treading. I think this is something that the developers of Killzone 2 have been attempting to try and in some of the footage it really seems to have a Call of Duty inspired feel to them, which I think is great.

Just from a casual view point this games visuals are to this point, bar none (on console) the best looking game being made. But I guess since the console its coming out on has a PS on the front its just underwhelming.

On topic, this game looks amazing and its only in pre alpha. I cant wait to see Resistance 2, since I read and heard from some podcasts that it looked almost as good.

Obviously people have their own opinions on the game, but general "it sucks" comments from people are making me yawn now.

What I love most is that people have jumped quickly to make assumptions about me, by linking to a Nintendo board and making assumptions I'm a GeoW fanboy. I've not alot of love for that title either!

Seriously though, what is there to excite with regards to Killzone 2? Boring gunplay? Uninspiring level design? A supposedly beautiful game that the PS3 is going to chug along at 30fps/720p? You all kiss this game's ass for being technically amazing yet really it doesn't look that special at all!

I'm not gonna rave about this game just because it may possibly have the biggest development budget ever, if it ends up being shit in the end, you guys will be the suckers! If not, fair enough, but from what I understand and the general concensus around here - Resistance is the PS3 FPS to keep the eyes on.
