The real juicy items aren't bought by yen, they're bought by 'Demon Fangs.' There are various ways to get these, and believe me, you'll wanna stock up.

The moment they were introduced I figured they were important.  I've been getting 2-3 demon fangs in every battle so far so I can't wait to see what goodies they can get me.

I completely agree with that. I was all hyped to play this game but I didn't get a chance to start it until about 11:30 or 12 at night and I was already pretty tired (had just started crunch). I figured I would get a good hour of playtime in and just suffer through at most an eight or nine minute intro. Nearly 20 minutes later I was thanking God I could finally walk over to a save point and go to bed.

Nothing drains the life out of you more than sitting there and just watching text for 20 minutes. As pretty as it is dumb shit like that is just annoying. Since then I've maybe played the game another hour or so and it's good (and I had the shaking the Wii-mote to attack too) but I just haven't had the motivation to play it much more.

Long intros like that often just really kill a game for me for some odd reason. I'm sure after I'm done with Mario Kart Wii for a while, GTAIV, and possibly Boom Blox I might pick the game back up.

-edit-

My last edit got rid of my line breaks, fixed that >_>

Ditto almost exactly.  I had just finished Skies of Arcadia and even though it was late I wanted to play some Okami Wii.  I was tired but I pressed on anyway.

So you guys are saying that Okami for PS2 is better?

If you ignore every single person in this entire thread except Onimusha... I guess you could read it that way.

From my time with both Okami versions, I prefer the PS2 version because it simply controls better.

I just wish the brush would detect some movements better....at least for me, it´s *** irritating when I try waterspout and galestorm...even though I do the movement 100% right, it takes about 4/5 tries for the game to 'see' I was making the right movement.

I have to agree with you.

When I played the game for the first time the opening film  annoyed me too.

The dialoques and the language was something that annoyed me too.

But that changed though;..I loved the dialogues now and the same for the language :).

And heck I can see the opening film now without feelig bored.  I just love it.

About the rest well I had the PS2 version so I didn't have any problems with the controls.

Strange that people always said   'Okami should be a Wii game!!'  'It is sad that  the devs didn't worked it well out or gave you the option to change the controls.

The problem here is that almost every one of my complaints is almost guaranteed to be in the PS2 version as well.  The only one that isn't is the whole shake Wiimote to attack which I haven't had to deal with since I played Zelda and, out of all of them, that's a very minor complaint.

The problems I see with Okami are at a more fundamental level like missing a lock-on functionality for battle.

Either way, a touched up special edition of Okami for the Wii certainly wouldn't hurt. Alternative PS2 controls with the Classic Controller would be the greatest suggestion. If anything can be done better, there's no reason not to hope it one day won't be.

=p  Oh yeah, the only problem is left is the camera problem.  I can't remember that it annoyed me;.
