Money money money money.......MONEY! Gamespot reviews no longer contain a shred of credibility. Changing GTA4's rating just solidified that fact.

Figures that my 100th post is right on the money. I used to love GS.......

Calm down. I would hate for you to get really upset when the reviews impacted by the embargo start to come out and they're less than stellar. It's not always about slaying the big bad Zelda.

It already did. GTA4 = 25 reviews with a 100% and OoT = 22 reviews with 99%

The best way to review a game is to play it. Though the score changing is shady. Those video reviews are good because you can see the gameplay and they show you what cool stuff is in the game.

It was a glitch, for some reason their "rough draft" went live accidentally.

 I call complete BS.   A website doesn't just go live on its own.  I've used publishing queues and know enough network administration to get a good chuckle out of this one.

 

EDIT: So he intitially had it at 9.5 but a peer committee that wasn't reviewing the game convinced him it was a 10?  WTF?


See this is why I have been thinking gamespots review is off. Technical difficulties I can half buy I guess, but it seems weird that it would suddenly occur to him that the flaws don't really hurt the game at all. I just can't trust Gamespot after it came out that internally it was thought whatshisname got fired for giving a bad review score. Whether it is true or not is irrelevant if the reviewers who work there think it is true.
