We all know the consumer doesn't like expensive add-ons (no need to give an example). If this was true I think Msft will put it in their elite.
Although I'd prefer they just cut the price of the XBOX 360's

I agree, but the problem is that when there is already a good installed base with 360s, those people are going to be very unlikely to repurchase a 360 with a BR player. It is a difficult change to make mid-stream. in a perfect setting, the would do both. Offer an addon for exiting 360 owners and a built in model for new buyers.
