Thats the sign of a dying brand...

It is bleeding too much and i think Sony is not going to stay in Console bzness for much, if they don't turn around things soon.

Wow, comments of epic proportions. Except PS3 is outselling the 360 and Sony will be making money on each PS3 sold starting in the summer. This is without even going into software profits. Why do you even have a PSN logo in your avatar? You should remove it and just keep the Live logo, cause every time I see a post from you it's either trolling the PS3 or attacking it. You and John Lucas should start a 'PS3 death' club together since you're both so sure Sony is leaving the console business. 3rd party support? That's funny since almost all the big 3rd party games on the 360 are available on the PS3...

Thanks to Blacksaber for the sig!

I don't care about delays if the end product is good. If they delay it and the game is still average and buggy then that pisses me off. However, a dodgy GTA in November would have ruined it for me, the delay has allowed them to perfect the game, which they have, and I think without that extra time to get every detail in place, then the game would just not be as good as it is. I hope the delay has paid off in Haze's case, because it is a really good concept (offline multiplayer with bots!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) especially as FR have produced well in the past

What's getting delayed ? <--- as in that would be the question of a vast majority of gamers, believe it or not.

Not so many gamers are looking at release calendars , checking dates and counting the days 'til release.

What matters is what is out. Games you associate with a console have strong influence too. Many people would buy a PlayStation 3 if they had a PlayStation at some point and enjoyed games like GTA, Gran Turismo and Tekken. They would expect to see those games releasing for the console, eventually. But as far as new, unknown franchises, many gamers wouldn't know until these are actually out.

Yeah, far too many delays for nearly all high profile PS3 releases. This is definitely the last time I'll buy a Sony console before the games come.

Thats why I still dont have any games at all on my PS3 I bought it just for Blu-ray movies since I recently invested alot of money on entertainment systems and I wanted the full experience

Still waiting for all the RPG's to arrive

If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing   (mostly)

I do not blame the original poster for his naivety after all he has probably never worked a true job in his life. Unfortunately you do not have to be young to lose sight of the fact that it is almost always harder then it looks. The reality is that Sony has increased the pressure on developers. That means it is Sony's fault and Sony's problem. Sony are the ones that need to step up and to front the resources not the developers.

I hate to see posters rag on the developers when it isn't their fault. Many of them have done a superb job in spite of Sony's incompetence, arrogance, and ignorance. Sony did a piss poor job of getting the developers what they needed, and more importantly making it profitable for developers. Instead most developers had to spend precious man hours retraining employees in another new technology, had to work from scratch on their own game engines, and then after they ate this horrendous cost. Sony had terribly misjudged the marketplace. So the developer is looking at eating a huge loss.

When it comes to delays your problem is really a problem with Sony doing a poor job. Not the developers especially the ones that did not cut and run on you. You should be damned grateful that the likes of Konami and Square haven't left the console high and dry or changed colors entirely given how the console has performed, and more importantly how upset they have been with the way Sony has done things. With all these problems they stood by you, and for that you have nothing to complain about from them.

The problem isn't with the developers. The problem is with Sony. The developers need more help and Sony is not coming through.

What you are saying is only partially true.  I read in an interview with one of the hire ups at Insomniac that said that when the PS3 came out Sony gave them over 150 different tools to use to make games while other companies where having trouble getting one.  whether he meant price or Sony just wasn't selling them who knows, but Sony knew what to do with their own console, they probably just wanted their own games to kick ass first before letting third parties make great games also.
