Celebs and public figures have had devastating losses this year. We just lost Eric Bauza (the modern Mel Blanc) this week too. This year is easily the worst for that since 2016 off the top of my head.
Looks like Avengers: Doomsday will be Patrick's final film. Secret Wars hasn't even started filming (all but guaranteed to be delayed to April 2028 or later) and now he can't be in it unless they use archival footage.
I've still never watched anything Star Trek, but I've still seen Patrick as Charles Xavier and other roles including voiceovers (Seti and The Great Prince of the Forest).
RIP Patrick Stewart.

Yeah I'm not normally one to get invested in actors and other celebs, but this one does really suck as his iconic roles were such a big part of my childhood.

He also just seemed like a great guy who used his fame for good.

86 is not a bad run, but I'll miss him.
