Forums - Sales - Microsoft Earnings for FY27 Q1 - Xbox Total Revenue -2%, Content & Services -2%, Hardware -14%

There's nothing surprising here but their revenue does seem to be stabilising. People need to be realistic with their expectations as opposed to thinking that Xbox is just magically going to turn things around whilst also being more expensive than the competition and having no exclusives. If we could actually separate software revenue from Gamepass I think that is one area I actually suspect has grown  the last 2 years but of course gamepass is going to damage any progress there.

Having been subscribed to PS+ Premium for a while now, the limitations of gamepass is really evident. The vast majority of users simply do not have time to be completing a new game every month, and the novelty of having access to hundreds of games you are never going to complete wears thin. PS Premium is cheap enough to justify as a casual sub but gamepass is really a commitment

One thing that will be interesting to see next quarter is how much of an impact Gears exclusivity had, and of course whether they can capitalise off GTA

Long term It'll sound crazy to a lot of people but I hope they go back to their Kinect/TV days of actually wanting to distinguish themselves from PS on a hardware & OS level

If my math ain't wrong:

Wouldn't Matt's US numbers indicate that VGC Series US sell-through estimates are quite overtracked?

Xbox One total US sell-through estimates in month 71 were 25,821,271 units.

You probably confused the vgc numbers that pertain to Americas for being about the USA! Vgc has XS around 18m which is in line with the drop compared to XONE for the same time frame.
