What are some films where you strongly disagree with the critical consensus, and how so/in what way?

Interesting, how so?

I haven't seen it myself.

Babylon.

One of the best movies of the last decade. Especially if you are a film lover.

Digger sucked though...

Show Girls. I liked it, but was panned by critics.

The First Slam Dunk. Mediocre as a standalone movie, big pile of dogshit if you are into the Slam Dunk manga. Both critics and viewers loved it at the time. "Best anime movie of 2022". I saw that everywhere. I hate it with passion. I almost left the theater when I watched it.

I don't pay attention to review scores for movies, (which is odd since i do pay attention to video game reviews.) So I have no idea if the Matrix and Dune movies reviewed high (I'm guessing they reviewed high), but they were a snore fest that put me to sleep.

Its VERY entertaining, well acted, and the cinematography is a 10/10

I can understand the general audience not being very interested in it, because its a political satire, and that simple fact puts a lot of people off, regardless of the final quality of the product. But i think its odd that its also very mixed amongst critics.

Starship Troopers reviewed mediocre, more than likely audience too at the time too. I liked it when first saw it but even then didn't quite get the satire, do now, it's even better.

Hmm, pie.
