Im honestly surprised everyone is saying GTA6 so confidently, I fully expect OoT to be in the 96-99 range.

If they had reworked the combat and puzzles I think Zelda could have a higher average score, if the mechanics are identical to the original i think the score should be lower than the 3DS version's, as I view it as a dated in many aspects and easy game, especially for those who have beaten it multiple times; even so, many reviewers will give it a 10 out of nostalgia.
GTA VI, easy.
With all due respect....in 2026 a 1:1 remake of OoT is a ~80, at best.
Story: At best mid.
Combat Gameplay: outdated and just solid.
Exploration: poor and outdated.
Side quests: extremely limited.
Puzzles: oudated and clunk, requiring constant pausing and item swap.
Again, with all due respect... Take alway the nostalgia glasses! OoT is oudated and limited.

It's almost certainly going to have scores knocking down points for relying or nostalgia too much, or conversely changing too much, not liking the Bluepoint-esque remake artstyle, etc.
Not to mention Zelda re-releases tend to lose plenty of score points since these games/the opinion on them tend to age fast (hello, Skyward Sword), though OoT might be an exception there.

I feel like you're channeling your inner Ricky Bobby

GTA 6 is a brand new sequel. OOT is a remake of a thirty-year-old game. It is impossible for reviewers today to feel the same way about OOT that the OG reviewers did. The originality, innovation, and just the wow factor is missing. GTA 6, on the other hand, will probably be doing things in the GTA world that we haven't seen before, so I expect it to review better.
But then again, it's 2026. Anything's possible (although if a remake gets the same score as the original, I'll still cry foul because it's illogical).
Which reviewers will be doing both games?
What are the criteria?
I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

OpenCritic and MetaCritic are the reviewers.
GTA VI, the hype behind it world wide is off the charts, that alone is going to have an impact on some reviewers.
+ New GTA in over a decade
+ New engine, new gameplay mechanics, new story, new setting, etc
+ Rockstar games has historically reviewed very well.
- Also has a lot of negative press/criticisms around it
- No online at launch
OOT:R, has insane hardcore fans hype, but nothing on the level that GTA VI has with a world wide mass market appeal
- Same story, gameplay, world/areas
- game wont be as big in content as GTA VI
+ OOT is the highest rated game of all time, so this remake should score very well, maybe even the highest NS2 game to date
+ This remake is getting a lot of praise online atm.

I was reading some reviews of the 3DS version, and it was frequently noted that the game has outdated mechanics.
The remake brings some improvements, but 15 years later, it actually feels more outdated to me than the 3DS version—even though it looks much better graphically but if the remake ends up with a higher average score than the 3DS version, I’d consider that an inconsistency on the part of the media.
