My Switch 1 is unplugged, because I use my Switch 2 to play Switch 1 games. Switch 1 still has a great library with a ton of fun games.

I lent it to a friend who never had one . Since I have a Switch 2 I don't really mind. She's having a blast playing Astral Chain and Link's Awakening xD

I played Rythm Heaven Groove on my friend's Switch. I enjoyed it a lot! Now, I'm considering buy a copy for myself

I frequently play my Zelda OLED in handheld mode around the house, equipped with my preferred controller parts and all of my arcade and console classics on deck (still docked too).  I almost never play my Switch 2 away from the TV, mostly due to the joycons.

King Switch 1 is still fighting for the + 160 million record !!

At the moment being used by my wife to play Tears of the Kingdom. We haven't gotten the Switch 2, and probably won't for a long time yet, just not worth the price as far as I'm concerned.

Docked, collecting dust for the time being. I do have a few Switch games on my backlog so i will be picking it up again but not anytime soon. Won't be upgrading to Switch 2 anytime soon either.

I bought a Switch 2 for myself last year, but then when Christmas rolled around, my softy heart decided to gift it to my daughter. She likes the Switch line a lot more than I do and plus, it just didn't really do it for me. I don't know what it is. I am an original NES kid. Loved the SNES for most of its generation. Loved the N64 for most of its generation. Was a defender of the Gamecube during a time when it was horrifically uncool to do so. Loved the Wii for family time. Had more fun with the Wii-U than I did PS4 and Xbox 3. But the Switch... sigh. I bought it at launch, thought I was going to continue down the same path as before... but it just seemed like something was missing. None of their titles had that Nintendo "feel" to them. Zelda felt like a different IP. So did Pikmin. Mario just felt like another Mario title. Smash pretty much was just a port. Same with Mario Kart. We never got a 3D Metroid until S2, and even then, it was awful. And the 2D game felt sterile and bland to me. I think the only thing on Switch 1 that I loved was Animal Crossing. Other than that, it just didn't click.

I don't think it's the game's themselves (well, maybe Prime 4; that's a legit disgrace). I just think Nintendo finally got to a point where their design philosophy and my idea of what makes a great game (and game console; I don't prefer handheld; I like home consoles) became too isolated from one another.

And that sucks.

But, oh well.

Yeah I'm the same, I keep all my old consoles cos I know someday I'll feel like going back to them to take a trip down memory lane. I actually recently unpacked my Wii U after it being in storage since 2018.

I learned this lesson young when my folks packed away my SNES when we got an N64, and after a year or so I kept asking if I could play the SNES and they were so confused, like "but you have the new one now, why go back to the old one" haha

Back during the Funcoland days of the 90's, back when gaming was at its peak as far as innovation was concerned, I did like a lot of kids back then. I got rid of that old junk and used the money to fund games for the new console! I mean, after all, who the heck cares about 8 bit when you've got 16? Or 16 when you've got 64!

But that changed for me in my early 20's. I started buying back all that old stuff... and for pennies on the dollar. You should see my NES carts. On the back, the old Funcoland stickers are still there. Ninja Gaiden 3 for seven dollars. Megaman 5 for six. I even got a Sega Saturn in 2002, along with the 3D controller, two regular controllers, Panzer Dragoon 1 and 2, Nights and a buttload of other games for the grand old total of fifty USD. lol. No one wanted retro back then, because my generation, which was the OG's, were still in college and had no use for their stupid childhood. I was just ahead of the curve.
