You really think a full remake of among the most beloved games of all time from among the most esteemed and well-known studios in the industry wouldn’t break through the noise of GTAVI? Perhaps it could muffle the WoM, but I’d guess it would create an opposite effect of exposing the GTAVI crowd to the incoming OoT remake. Only time will tell though.

Yes, I do. OoT might have the "best game of all time" monicker, but in terms of sales potential (and thus players and discussions active) it's dwarfed by GTA, let alone a game with such unprecedented hype behind it.

I can see people playing both, but the reasons for purchasing either game vary a lot, in fact so much so that they will not compete for public most of the time (of the decision making, to actually invest the money, I mean). Plus, the scope of sales for GTA are massive, way larger than what Nintendo alone can do, even if OoT Remake gets a BotW sort of sales push (gigantic, but not enough to compete with the juggernaut that will be GTA6). So I vote no, since it would risk the one big release the Switch will probably get this year in favor of what: a possible gamble? It does not make sense to me.
