I think, at least here, people are tightening their belts because everything is super expensive.  Fishing wise I swear by a Shadow Rap and Mirrodine, just a couple years ago they were $7 and $5.  Today they are $15 and $12.  Gas is up.  Food is up.  Everything is up, which is fine, but for me it means more emulation and less new games.  New games (at $60+ have to be top notch).

Yeah exactly what I was thinking. At least on my end, I know I’ve had to resort to budget gaming (and, well, budget spending on everything) for the first time in my whole life. It’s rough (economically) right now!

I do wonder, if prices were more reasonable, would I be so hard into emulation?  I am not sure.  But man, emulation just keeps looking better and better.  Feels like I never need to buy new games except for my favorites (Zelda, Metroid, Mario, Souls, FF, SH, RE).

Around the Network

Wrapping up Kingdom’s Return, then pivoting quickly to R-Type Dimensions III. Yoshi arrives on Thursday. Then, hopefully, Mina. Busy, busy month. Luckily, June is fairly empty for me, apart from Star Fox.

Nothing! I have nothing interesting at the moment and it''s killing me.
I have too much time on my hands, wish I had a backlog like some people.

Anybody who is interested in Dusk via Twilight, I am 4 hours in. Seems flawless this far. Zero issues.

Poor Yoshi. Looks like no one's playing it.

Nintendo increased prices this generation, which means I will be more selective.  Just my view.  $70 means a game has to be excellent, not just good.

Fair enough. This and time constrains are also making me more selective this gen, unfortunately.

Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won
