Tons of people were saying the "Switch 2" leak had to be a fake because Nintendo doesn't follow Sony's numbered hardware naming schemes so Switch 2 couldn't possibly be the name. And also Nintendo doesn't launch systems with a Mario Kart so Mario Kart couldn't possibly be the launch title because they've never done it before. And it definitely wasn't going to cost $450-$500 (lol). Wrong, wrong, wrong. 

People waste so much energy on this silly shit. Nintendo gives no fucks about any of these so-called "rules", they'll break and make new rules all the time. They give zero fucks, it's all about today and tomorrow whatever their management (which isn't even the same management as 10 years ago) thinks is best. And that's it. 

Nintendo quite frankly does the exact 180 opposite of what many internet enthusiasts think alllllll the freaking time. 

Tons?  Cool, show us.  If there are tons, you should be able to provide evidence.

I personally predicted $400 and said $450 was on the table, as did most everyone.  Dude, you are making up crap.  

Why should I waste my time, it was out there and I stand by that. A lot of people were surprised the system was called Switch 2, a lot of people were surprised Mario Kart (rather than a platforfmer Mario) was the launch title, the price is higher than many people expected, the hardware performance is better than many people expected etc. etc. etc. 

There's a million fucking things people were surprised, game key cards, $70-$80 games, etc. etc. I'm not just imagining all the stupid outrage from Youtube click baiters about the system (and despite that it's selling at a record pace, which means all this internet bullshit chatter means fuck all anyway). 

In fact most people's predictions on the Switch 2 were by and large wrong rather than being right when it comes down to the details. Most people had no idea what they were talking about and got most things incorrect. 

Nintendo does. not. care. about. 5. years. ago. let alone 10 years ago, let alone 20 years ago. They will do whatever they feel is best for them in the present moment even if it directly contradicts whatever they were doing even a few years ago and that goes 10x more when you have a completely new president and many new board of directors appointments. All bets are off. 

I stopped reading.  I won't engage with someone who makes claims but immediately refuses to provide evidence.

Everyone and their grandma knows there were plenty of people saying Switch 2 can't be the name becase "Nintendo wouldn't do that" or Mario Kart can't be the launch title because "Nintendo wouldn't do that" or it can't be $450++ pricing because "Nintendo wouldn't do that".

Maybe, frankly, the next person who uses "Nintendo wouldn't do that" as their logic should just get a boot up their ass at this point, because they've gotten virtually nothing correct in the last several years really.

They do whatever suits them in the moment very clearly and break all kinds of past "precidents" on the regular at this point maybe one should ask if there's anything the new management at Nintendo does based on the past, because I'm not seeing it.
