Y’know, I’ve thought about this leak Nate has done, specifically whether this is a net good or bad for Nintendo. And honestly? Having nothing more than a fallible “OoT Remake and Star Fox are coming very soon” is so much more fun than Nintendo dropping a trailer and release date. There’s still so much mystery as to what these games will be, and it allows the mind to go wild imagining what Nintendo has planned or when they could be revealed/released. Plus, it gives me the opportunity to be like “Oh, here it is! OoT Remake!! *turns off direct so as to not spoil ANYTHING about the game*” (I want a 100% clean palette entering this game).

Also: Production numbers haven’t slowed. In fact, systems have been sold out ever since Pokopia dropped. Nintendo is not in dire need of a boost in demand right now.

Regarding Nate's credibility - He has sources and sources can be wrong of course, but he's clearly not just speculating out of thin air. Big difference there. He also doesn't leak things very often and instead sticks to things that he seems pretty sure of, like the Switch 2 reveal that many called him out on until the very last minute. It's perfectly fine to disregard rumors but I think it's also fair to consider leaks from Nate as reasonably credible considering his track record, which absolutely does matter in my opinion.

It would be pretty stupid to take N64 games, just put under a modern coat and call it day.

If these rumours are true, I am positive they will put a lot more work to deliver something epic as their big releases for the holidays.

And I am not talking only about Zelda:OoT

If Nate is randomly just getting a lot of these things correct 90%+ of the time, he should go play the lottery numbers and get into sports gambling, why bother with gaming news, dude's "guess" rate would make him the luckiest person alive. 

Nintendo and Sony tend to leak a lot these days anyway. Everyone was on that Reddit leaker's ass for Switch 2 leaks and it turned out in hindsight he was pretty much dead on correct, so were multiple other Switch 2 leaks from late 2024 (Mario Kart was the launch title, orange and blue "underneath" a black casing is indeed the system color, Switch 2 is the system's name with a large "2" in the logo, etc. etc. etc.).

The logical path in his argument with Curl would have been to rephrase and find common ground by saying something like, “All I’m saying is don’t take leaks/rumors as gospel, even leakers with a good track record can be wrong sometimes.” In which case, Curl would have likely agreed with him.

It doesn’t matter how much we point out that this leaker has a good track record because he doubled down on his argument of, “the success rate of leakers is irrelevant and we shouldn’t listen to them ever.”

One thing I hope Nintendo plans on soon; giving us a better look at the Zelda movie.

September is probably when that’ll be, if I’m guessing. That’s how they did it with both Mario movies. (Dang, it’s crazy to think Zelda movie releases not like in the very distant future… we are literally only just over a year away now.)

It better be good. Last live action Nintendo movie was a disaster. Unless Detective Pikachu counts.
