I don’t think it will sell very well as an Xbox. But as a high end PC, if it’s as powerful as rumoured, it could do very well. It’s known that high end GPUs are sold at a huge markup, so if Microsoft can lower that margin, they can pull in a sizable audience, though still less than 20M I would assume. I also expect they will refresh and replace the hardware more often than a traditional console, so it won’t have as long on the market as usual.

PS6 is not going to be $800 in my opinion. I bet it will be no higher than what the PS5 pro is currently priced at.

Imho, people are crazy if they think PS6 is going to launch at $800. It's gonna be under $700 for sure.

Now, XBOX Helix is another story...if it's truly a "PC that can run Steam"... It's a Uncharted territory, +$1000 is not impossible.

That would be cheaper than the PS5 Pro though. The RAM situation will hopefully have at least mostly resolved by the time the PS6 launches cause that could make even matching the price of the PS5 Pro difficult.

If they continue with this "multiplatform" insanity, less than 10M, regardless of the price. Now, if they come back to their senses they might be able to recover some of their market share, but even then it might be too late now.

The ps5 is 16 gb of ram, the ps6 will need to be 32 gb...  that by itself is $400...  without a GPU, without a CPU, without a PSU, without a MB, without a HDD.

1 TB M2 has increased to $150.  A 5060, reasonable mid shelf GPU, is $400.

I get Sony will get better pricing, but simple math...

Unless prices reset, there is a ZERO chance the ps6 is under $700.

I disagree.
It will be priced at $699.99, like PS5 PRO, and Sony will bite the bullet and sell it at a loss.
I remember PS5 lauch, people also got surprised by the $499.99 price... Sony will do it again, for sure.
Also, i fully expect Sony to use 3~4nm nodes and shrink the Die to under 300mm² ( likely smaller than base PS5).

I feel like there is a 99% certainty the Microsoft has an entry level SKU for $999. Sony comes in at $599-699. I domt think Helix will hit 10 million and I don't think Microsoft has any Inentions of selling that much. They will branch off to OEMs and license the name and OS .

To the two people who said 60 million plus, I'd like some insight into that prediction lol

Pro isnt $700, it is $750 with the disk drive separate at $80.  The Pro had a price increase, the base model will too.  So will the S2.

If I am wrong, I'm wrong.  But i do not see how the ps6 will be cheaper than the Pro.  Not when it will, at a bare minimum have a 50% increase in ram and a significant upgrade to the CPU.
