276 vs 280m and counting.
Well, ns is hybrid console and that may skew things a bit.
Even more if you bring DS +Psp (236m)in the table( albeit a lot of people owned both home and handheld counterparts).
Will 10th Gen repeat that success? | |||

I think PC starts eating console sales. I think the market will shrink for consoles.
Well a large portion of ns sales are handheld, soo if we include handhelds then..yea..noo.
Also crazy to think ps2 had a pacman against xbox and gamecube.
Man 6th gen truly whas the best gen ever.
I can also nippick a bit and say ns isnt in the ps5 era but ps4/xbox one

In would say Wii U is technically speaking PS4/Xbox One era. If we count PS2/Xbox/GameCube as two gens prior and PS3/Xbox360/Wii as one gen prior, than PS4/Xbox one/Wii U is the era after that.
But from this point onwards most likely gens will not be all that clear. Xbox will probably launch Helix before PS6 and Switch 3, might release before PS6 is 3.5 years old.
Please excuse my (probally) poor grammar

If i aggregate the ns sales with Ps4 and xbox one, the picture is even better for the industry.
However, i consider ns early 9th Gen, it competed more with ps5 and xbox series, than with their predecessors.
2020-2025 vs 2017-2020

Not with the rate at which PC prices are shooting up— the PC I built in December has already shot up $400USD in price ($1,900 v. $2,300). And this was already up from $1,600 in September.
As far as console sales are concerned: PS6 and Project Helix will price out consumers. And NS2 can only carry so hard, especially when last gen (NS1) saw over 154mil (and counting) sales. The market will shrink this upcoming generation, there’s really no way around it.

Exactly this, albeit the installbsse is already immense.
Hehe You built a pc just in time like me. What kind of processor and gpu did you choose?

RX9070XT + R5 7600X. I’ve only used it for emulation thus far, but it works like a charm! The ceiling I’m currently hitting is 1080p 60fps on Wii U emulation— surely this set up should be capable of 1440p, no? I’d imagine I’ve got some settings screwed up. But 4k 60FPS on all those N64, GCN, and Wii games… ooooh it feels so good!!
