So glad Mario Tennis didnt sell well, like others said in this thread, it's most likly a price issue. Hope Nintendo learns from this and uses more wisdom, not greed to discern how to price their games going forward. NS2 has a lot more third party support from the get-go then NS1 had, people have way more options now.

Fully agree on the digital version.

However, the issue is a bit more nuanced for the physical version, as unlike optical discs the cartridges are also affected by the memory craze right now. It's probably also the reason why Nintendo finally agreed to produce smaller cartridges instead of just the 64GB ones. But even with all that it's still overpriced in it's physical version, though not nearly as much as the digital version.

Around the Network

Given that GKC does not affect sales in any meaningful numbers, it would probably make sense for Nintendo to pivot towards GKC releases for all their games and slash the price of their games 1000-2000 yen in Japan and 10 dollars/euros or so in western markets. That would mean they both earn the same profit from every game sold using GKC with lower prices, and they sell more copies of every game because they are cheaper for consumers as well. If Pokopia sells great numbers with GKC, that would probably make Nintendo do a hard pivot to GKC very soon. Most consumers would be happy with Nintendo games costing less, but enthusiasts on gaming forums would be raging.

What exactly is your proof that GKCs doesnt affect sales in any meaningful way?

The fact that Nintendo had to send out a survey asking gamers about them? The fact that they hid the existence of them in the Switch 2 reveal show? The fact that they are now making smaller sized carts?

NS sells more than last week, 28k this time !OLed stable after its restock. This time lite sales doubling proving it had supply issues too. From 4k to 8k...

Original further down , to just 489.

Most likely it's being discountinued! Hmmm before oled... Despite being cheaper, oled screen worths it and lite being lite...
