OG Xbox. I was dying to play Shenmue 2, so Xbox's eventual appealing library made buying one a no brainer. I got mine in 2004. Gen 6 was peak gaming!

OG Xbox came out and I randomly got it as a gift. I played Oddworld, Mechassault, Halo 2, Morrowind, and many more. I liked the HDD system and I put a lot of music on it. Me my bro and my friend listened to music for hours when we got bored with games. It played movies as well, much like the PS2. Both systems were used for movies quite a bit. It never broke, the controllers were cool, but slightly tedious. I liked the ones with the black and white buttons. An amazing quality system which the word of mouth definitely helped keep the brand alive.
OG Xbox with Halo. Had lots of fun playing with friends.

The first time I played Xbox was on my dorm mate’s system freshman year of college. I distinctly remember playing Dead or Alive 3 and Hunter: The Reckoning.
The first time I purchased Xbox hardware was in 2008 with the 360. I made a point to start with backward compatible Xbox games before moving to 360 exclusives.
Xbox 360 in 2010 - Gamestop had a “ Trade in your PS2, get a 360 plus 3 games for dirt cheap” promo which I jumped on. The three games were Mirror’s Edge, some MX racer and the third I actually forgot. Where it really took off was when I soon after played Gears of War 2 (then 1) and the OG Borderlands though. In the end some of my best gaming moments happened on the 360. I first upgraded to Xbox One when the S came out.
First I ever played on was an OG Xbox around 2005 or so as 360 launched.
I played a little Star Wars: Battlefront. I played on Xbox 360 at my cousin's house occasionally and also played an Xbox 360 occasionally once my brothers got one for Christmas 2009.
In late 2023 I got an Xbox 360. In Spring 2024, I got an Xbox One X. No plans to get an Xbox Series. I'll probably never buy Xbox hardware again.

The original. Obviously I read the magazines back then about the rumor then announcement. MS was being mocked by everyone. Gamers. Media. MS making a console? What a joke! When it did come out. I tried a kiosk at Media Play. I was not into the games and hated the controller. Sometime later Shenmue II was announced for it. Well being a big Shenmue fan and Shenmue II did not come to the US on Dreamcast. I bought the game before I had the console. Then in 2003 my mom gifted me the Xbox which game with JSRF/SEGA GT 2002. While I did my first and last 24 straight our marathon of a game. Shenmue II. However, when the dust settled I never quite liked the game but ended up loving JSRF. Then waited 20 years for a sequel. Bomb Rush was what I wanted.

OG Xbox.
Halo co-op was probably the best launch game experience I ever had. Shit was incredible.
