Of course not
What kinda of stupid argument is this. You want consumers not have LESS knowledge of the games we will buy?
Embargo should be lifted at least one or two weeks before the game is released. If the critics review bomb your game then simply make something better next time

You clearly didnt read OP: No reviews scores, but encourage previews. That way, discourse isn’t driven by a trivial number AND consumers stay informed.

You added the preview argument after my post lol
It's a stupid argument anyways. Why would I want the score to be released after the game is released? What have I to gain not knowing other people's opinion about the game?
When I buy a game I want have as much knowledge of it as possible, including reading and watching reviews. The more time I have to do this before the game released the better
For example I skipped MP4 because the reviews, it's very clearly a game I would not like. This way I saved 400 BRL and used my time to play something better. Win-win
I see your point, but I think the biggest problem here is the weight you yourself put on reviews. Just play the games you want to play. A 7/10 is still a good game.
Also you really should play M&L Brothership and MP4 Beyond. They are great.

It’s not just myself but the community overall. These three games I mentioned were torn to shreds once reviews dropped and haven’t recovered since.

Yes, the OP was edited to add that last line, but the title has remained unchanged. The OP was edited to emphasize what was already said in the title.

I'm sorry. I don't understand this line of thinking at all.
If you're proposing that video game reviews should arrive without a score at all, I can see that. There's an argument to be made that the number at the end of the review does more harm than good (I've grappled with that question myself, as a semi-professional reviewer).
But the idea of providing consumers with less information ahead of launch is very counter-productive. Video game fans should have as much info as possible to inform their buying decisions.
If you're worried about aggregate scores misleading you, find one or two like-minded critics and follow only them. And if you're concerned that your personal opinion is out of sync with the consensus, well, that's just life sometimes.
Sorry. I misunderstood the OP.
Edit: I think this just falls under personal liberty. If the launching of scores influences you, and you're unhappy with it, just ignore the reviews. Go on an internet black-out until you can buy the game you want, or at least avoid the places where you know you'll see it/read about it. That would be my advice.
Poor firebush03 getting bombed worse than mp4
