Just a instal? Or you mean you need to download most of the game?

Just curious that's all.

If the download is mandatory to play the game, then there's no functional difference.

Sorry, maybe i asked it in a wrong way.

Is the ps5 version all on dics but needs to installed on the ps5?( soo noo internet required)

Or is  the game only 20% on disc and needs a patch /internet download to even work?

Quz thats a big difference.

Ah, I see what you mean. In this case, I guess it depends whether this game in particular is complete on disc, or whether an internet download is required like with say something like Indiana Jones or Avatar or Star Wars Outlaws.

Love seeing DK and FFVII holding up strong on NS2! Certified evergreens. Also, Kirby just doesn’t stop it seems lol— maintaining 4k/wk is very solid. Especially on hardware with such a small install-base currently.

I guess not having a Nintendo release on launch didn’t pan out well for My Hero Academia

It absolutely amazes me Bandai Namco for whatever reason still either skips Switch or releases a Switch version later. For the first 2 years I can understand, but the fact they are the ONLY Japanese game company not actively trying to put games on Switch day one is insane. At least with the other Japanese companies if a game legit cannot run on the Switch it's understandable why it cannot release on it. Even Falcom now is doing day one Switch/Switch2 games and everyone knows how Playstation favored they are. Bandai Namco does have Switch games day one with other versions, but the fact they have Switch games still release like a year later than other versions is crazy.

Yeah it is bizarre that Bamco still snub the Switch/2, especially given how closely they work with Nintendo, co-developing stuff like Smash Bros and Kirby Air Riders.

Hell, last gen when Ace Combat 7 came out they skipped Switch initially, only then years later to be like "oh, we heard people mention they wanted it on Switch, so we did some tests, and it turned out it was possible after all".

DQ7 is less than 7GB on PS5. It's entirely on the disc, it needs to be installed from the disc like everything else but it needs no internet and plays offline on PS5.

It would be fun if Kirby Air Riders hangs around in the top 30 for years like one of the evergreen titles.

Bandai Namco isn't alone, Atlus and Konami are also not Nintendo day one publishers, with Konami probably not even making late ports of their games to Nintendo consoles. Those publishers will continue to focus on PS, Xbox and PC no matter what.
