They just released the new update to ACNH. I would definitely not expect a new one to release this year, and I don't even expect it to be announced this year. I could see it announced next year and released in 2028.
Pokopia is getting very positive reviews currently sitting around 89-90 on metacritic. If this can tap into the pokemon and animal crossing audiences then the switch 2 has this year in the bag.

I'm part of the AC audience I honestly don't see the appeal for Pokopia. AC is a day to day life sim, Pokopia looks like a farm game but with Pokemons and looks to have more in common to something like Story of Seasons
They might look similar because Pokopia copied New Hoeizons UI, but it's like saying Diablo and Divinity shares the same audience because the UI looks similar
But you're right about capturing Pokemon audience and it being a possible huge hit, I would not be quick to dismiss it as a potential 10 million seller when all is said and done

It seems to have a lot in common with a variety of games. From what I've seen it shares a lot of elements with Animal Crossing. There is also a big overlap with Animal Crossing fans and fans of games like stardew valley.
Also as you can see from my avatar I'm also a big Animal Crossing fan.

I think Animal Crossing is normally on a 7 year development cycle, which would put it's release next year. However, there is a chance they could rush it out for the holidays this year.
curl-6 bet me that PS5 + X|S sales would reach 56m before year end 2023 and he was right.
My Bet With curl-6
My Threads:
Master Thread, Game of the Year/Decade
Switch Will Be #1 All Time
Zelda Will Outsell Mario (Achieved)
How Much Will MH Rise sell?
My Bet With Metallox
Such a shame Pokopia is a GKC, I may never give it a chance solely because of that.

As much as I respect you sticking to your principals, I have to ask: Is it really worth it? Truly, GKC is no worse than digital— I’d imagine you’ve purchased games/DLC digitally, no? Just comes off as a bit of a waste not to play something you know you’ll enjoy, especially over something that may appear trivial in retrospect.

I've extremely rarely purchased a digital game that was not an indie, and in the very few cases I did they were on 90% discounts or so, which will never happen to a Nintendo game.

Well, more power to ya! I def respect the commitment, as much as I may disagree with it.
