Not I'm also unsure if it worth getting full priced. I'll prioritize Octopath and Nightreign DLC and maybe wait a bit to play Metroid

I am very happy with my Switch 2, so i'm not regretting anything, but it's definitely disappointing that after 18 years, it seems to not be on par with the first three. I wonder what that means for the series future

Looks like it runs and looks fantastic from Digital Foundry's deep dive. I'm excited for it, hopefully there is an update to mute the one npc from talking too much once Retro sees the reviews on it.

Never cared much for reviews, but obviously disappointing to see it so much lower than the original trilogy. I'll buy it and see how I feel about it myself, been waiting for it for a long time.

It sounds to me like developing the game for Switch 1 ultimately hurt it, since the open world section had to be designed to work within the older console's limitations, and they couldn't flesh it out on the Switch 2 version without changing it too much from the Switch 1 version, despite the hardware being there to do it on the newer system. It probably would have been better to wait until they made a game from the ground up for Switch 2 and didn't have to worry about the Switch 1's limitations to implement that open world element.

It's a shame, because otherwise the game seems practically perfect.

Welp, that's lower than I expected...

It doesn't change my excitement for the game. Scores mean very little to me, although I have to admit I didn't expect Prime 4 to be this low.
