New Pokémon Snap

This is another oddball game. A rail shooter of sorts. What this lacks in pure charm compared to the original Pokémon Snap it makes up for in content. You can catch Pokémon's on film for hours and hours trying to collect every pose and the highest scores.

If you like Pokémon because you think they are cute or you just do not connect with action packed games or games that demand a lot of strategy, try this game out. It is just so cozy.

Conker's Bad Fur Day

I cannot even dicede if I think this game is good anymore. But I simply have to recommend it at a high position because no other game does what this game does. It is childish beyond compare while at the same time incorporates adult themed humor. There just is nothing else like it.

Recommended for anyone who wish to pollinate large breasted flowers.

The Legend Of Zelda a Link to the Past

To me, this is the game that every other Zelda game up until Breath of the Wild copied. It sets up the tone well and the final showdown is actually a challenge. Without the community adding replay value with randomizer and multiplayer functionality this game might drop, but the excellent design is shown when you take a look from a different angle.

One of the greats. Play this for the heritage it brought the medium.

Super Mario Maker 2

Yes, many levels are pure crap, but the display of creativity here is something else. If you like 2D Mario at all, there is something to enjoy here. Slightly better than the first installment. I love this game. Might be obvious given my chosen profile pic here.

This is for plattforms lovers with a creation spark in them and a pinch of patience.

Eternal Darkness

Still stuck on the gamecube. Eternal darknes takes survival horror out of the game and into your room. Best played with an older tv. Few games could fuck with your mind like this game could.

Average gameplay wise, story wise and looks wise, this game masters the feeling of unease. It does it so weill that I recommend any fan of the survival horror genre to try it out. Strange things will happen.

Pokémon Crystal

Pokémon. Best game from the best generation. Soulsilver or Heartgold might be a better pick if you want more creatures and better grapics. But the 250 mons present in this game hits a sort of sweetspot for me. And the design had yet to deteriorate into piles of garbage and ice cream cones.

If you played the original but are on the fence on if you should try another game, do it.

Amen, brother.

Just gonna repost this since it got a bit buried

The final 5. The epic finale.

5) The second best JRPG which starts underground and inside people's minds and naturally ends on a scyscraper

4) The best puzzle game which starts underground and then goes further underground and naturally ends on the moon

3) The best open-world RPG where you fight humans with steel and monsters with silver

2) The best RTS which had the worst remaster (but it's mostly cleaned up now, only took them 5 years)

1) The best JRPG and video game where you go on a journey to regenerate a dying world

Looking cool Joker!

I think I might have to go back to grouping my games together next year because posting them one by one ain't for the faint of heart. But anyways, we're entering the Top 5 of absolute masterpieces and we start of with the most recent. It's no secret by now that this is one of the best games of the last decade, it's many people's introduction to the series including me, I actually wished for it for my birthday before it released to raving reviews just because I'd heard high praise for Persona 4 and had just recently gotten a PS3 (yes in 2017). So yeah some extreme coincidences that made me get this game basicly upon release without really knowing what to expect and it really blew me away, I was extremely hooked on it, getting up early(-ish) to play it every morning. It took me quite a while to actually beat the game since my save file ended up getting deleted because my account was hacked and yeah crazy amount of stories surrounding this game, but the point is it's one of the best and I loved Royal almost as much when I played it just last year. Masterpiece, go play it if you haven't.
