As you can see, I have decided against the idea of making up for my delay by posting two games a day.
I'm still over 10 days behind, so I'll probably spam the thread again soon, but I am done for now. Sorry about that!

No problem, I'm just impressed you got so many done. I'm still so far behind 🙃

I'll try to get some graphics done this afternoon but in the meantime might as well throw down some more hints up to the to Top 20.
27) The titular character is back for the third time, better kill him again
This title was controversial for a number of missteps at launch, but hands down has the best combat in this extremely influencial action RPG series
The Devil. Literally the Devil.
Historically mainly a PC series
26) From needing the help of an orb to fight in the first game, to straight up slamming enemies with a sledgehammer or shooting them with a bow in this one
25) This game has at least 3 things in common with A Hat In Time
24) 2007 saw two (three?) GOTY candidates that were mindblowing in different ways. I would argue this one has held up better
23) When the light is running low and the shadows start to grow
22) When you run out of bullets you ______
21) A real-world landmark is a significant part of a fictional location in this game

Super Meat Boy was the first challenging 2D platformer I got hooked on, but Celeste has since dethroned it by a significant margin. I don't know what to say other than this is the definitive 2D platformer as it stands and I hope to eventually see another game like it.

It's wild that this game is already 10 years old. It might not be deepest in terms of (most of its) gameplay but there's a reason why it's one of the most iconic indie games of all time, the soundtrack, the bosses, the humor, the vibe, it just shows how good even a "simple" game can be (and for one developer it is definitely not simple).

OMORI is another modern Earthbound-like like Undertale (with how much they share conceptually it's almost a more legitimate genre than souls-likes) only with the dark aspects (that Undertale certainly also has) turned up to 11. If I played them both today I'm not really show which one I would enjoy more, but OMORI hits harder emotionally and actually has a pretty unique interesting combat system (same can be said for Undertale ofc, but outside boss battles it's almost a novelty). And yeah don't let the screenshot fool you, it's both colorful and fun and a pretty disturbing horror game.

25, 23, 21) Trails of Cold Steel IV and II and Trails of the Sky Remake (sorta guessing on the subseries here, but think that's right)
22) Uncharted 4
