Forums - Indie - Mouse: P.I. for Hire — Most visually interesting indie I’ve ever seen

I have it on my Steam wishlist, the Stdev on reviews is quite large, but the sites I typically trust seem to like it. The graphics engine looks amazing. A must play, for me, in 2026.

PC will be my go-to, 120 fps for first person will be quite nice.

The game is out now, but as tempted as I am to grab it right away I'm gonna wait for the physical release in July, as I'd rather own it on a game card.
Really looking forward to it.

I plan on finishing Ragnarok on PC, then making PI next up, with RE9 being delayed again.  I have this thing, where I don't buy new games till I finish what I already bought.

RE9 delayed? Pretty sure it released on all platforms back in February?

Sorry to speak on your behalf, Chrkeller, but correct me if I’m wrong: I think he’s saying “I plan on finishing Ragnörak on PC, then making PI next week, with RE9 being pushed on my personal lineup of games I play on playing.” So, maybe RE9 was originally supposed to be directly after Ragnörak, but then P.I. Mouse dropped.

Yep, this.  Mouse PI just my list, it just looks so darn cool. .I would love to see more gamses drop photorealistic in favor of style.

Not sure if anybody cares, so potential apologies for the bump. I downloaded the game last night, played the first mission, so only about 20 minutes. But off the bat, the graphics are stellar, looks amazing. The music caught me off guard, just as good as the graphics, fits the game incredibly well. Voice acting is excellent. Gameplay seems good, no issues. A bit simplistic, but it is a 10–12-hour game and I don't think warrants un-needed complexity. First impressions are quite positive. Only complaint I have is there are safes that apparently have a timer and the player can fail permanently, which is a bit meh, but plenty of safe points.

So far so good, I like the game. Will play quite a bit tonight.

Thanks for sharing this, was actually gonna ask if anybody here had given it a go yet, and what they thought.

I'm still holding out for the physical release, as I prefer that option when it's available.

My only concern (in theory), if the game gets repetitive.  I haven't played enough to know.

The nice thing, at least on PC, it runs stupid well.  Max settings, native 4k and 120 fps locked.  I suspect, if my TV was more than 120 hz, it would easily be well above that.  I suspect it runs well on S2.
