Forums - Nintendo - Yooka Replaylee to recieve 60fps patch very soon!

Following up on this: Playtonic has FINALLY hinted at an FPS boost coming sometime in the very near future!! [(Source.)] So... no longer "Avoid Yooka Replaylee!", but rather, consider picking it up for your Switch 2. I never played the OG, but from everything I've heard, this is a spiritual successor to Banjo Kazooie/Tooie.

30 fps can go **** itself. Glad to hear it will be added back. I hope the improvements help, been interested in this title but haven't pulled the trigger. Looks promising.

Personally, I find Nintendo very anti-consumer.  Their games never drop in price.  Prime 4 requires an Amiibo for music in the desert.  They ported Wii-U games to the Switch and charged full price.  Their classic games are behind a subscription and have very limited customization.  Mario 3D All Stars was lacking Galaxy 2 and was a limited digital release.  Wii-U digital classics didn't port over to the Switch.  Nintendo is very harsh on You Tubers and their content.  The Switch is still full price.

Having said that, Nintendo is the best developer on the planet, frankly I don't think it is close.  So, I love and hate Nintendo at the same time.

60fps has finally dropped! For those looking for physical copy, Woot! is selling for $36USD. Also available digitally for $23USD on the Nintendo eShop.

Just took it for a spin; the game does feel much snappier now. Detail does take a hit, but it's a welcome option all the same. The 30fps fidelity mode also seems to me more lavish than the launch version, though can't be certain as I haven't played it in a while.

Glad they went back and added this. I look forward to their next project as both Replaylee and Impossible Lair are excellent.

I’ve also heard they’re working on further optimizing resolution for NS2. That said, I ordered a physical copy through Woot! earlier today, making for my very first third-party physical purchase on the system! Very excited to give this game a shot— I’ll play directly after finishing Kirby.

Nice! Let us know what you think.

I actually played the original version way back in 2018 on Switch 1; ordered a limited physical copy and everything. By all reports this version is a lot better.
