Meh the some group of whiners just make a lot of noise, they are a minority that hardly speaks for everyone.
The Switch 2 already has lots of fantastic things going for it and Nintendo should be getting more praise for it:
1.) The hardware/chipset is a fantastic result and even getting praised by Digital Foundry and the like. It's able to run even PS5/XBSS titles like Star Wars Outlaws well. For an 8nm chip in a system this small/thin is terrific engineering, best Nintendo hardware for a new Nintendo system since the GameCube easily.
2.) Mario Kart World and Donkey Kong Bananza both being wholly exclusive games already available for the Switch 2 is terrific, PS5 or XBox Series S certainly didn't launch with two huge exclusives like that. Some people might complain about MK World not having the same content as 8 Deluxe but naturally DLC will come and make MK World an even better game. DK Bananza is one of the best Nintendo games of the last 10 years too. Both of these titles in the long term will be come to known as classic Nintendo titles.
3.) The 3rd party support that's coming to the system I think already looks like the best 3rd party support Nintendo has had since the Super NES days. Resident Evil 9 confirmed day 1, Indiana Jones & The Great Circle confirmed, FF7 Remake Intergrade confirmed, FF7 Rebirth confirmed, FF7 Remake Part III confirmed, Persona 3 Reload coming, Madden NFL already released, Borderlands 4 coming, multiple Yakzua games, Elden Ring coming, and from extremely reliable sources we've heard Starfield, Halo, Forza, MS Flight Simulator are also on their way, there's probably a shit ton of games coming for 2026 that we don't know about and will be unveiled in the coming months.
4.) The price is reasonable for what you get. $450 or $500 with Mario Kart World is entirely reasonable as the Switch 2 outperforms similarly priced or more expensive portable handhelds and as of yet Nintendo is not introducing a tarriff related price hike which is giving people a chance to buy in now for a cheaper cost.
The system is better than what I could have hoped for and I was on the fairly optimistic side to begin with, I'm very happy with where we sit today.
