Forums - Nintendo - Nintendo Direct set for September 12

So I've just thought about it but it's super likely we're going to the first real showcase of both Tomodachi Life Living the Dream and Rhythm Heaven New Groove.

At least, considering the way they usually structure their general Directs. I'd say we're for a minimum of maybe 2 new 1st party announcements.

One at the beginning and another at the end.

Mario Maker2 Switch2 Edition with mouse control and Mario Wonder visual style additions

Luigi Mansion4 teaser for 2026

Plenty of Mario NSO additions for various legacy consoles.

I dont own anything Nintendo, but im excited for this direct

It's been 3 years since Next Level's last game and they work pretty fast usually, so I can see Luigi's Mansion 4 getting revealed here for a 2026 release.

I'd love to see Monolith Soft's first Switch 2 game, though with Future Redeemed having released in 2023 they may need a while longer.

A proper look at Splatoon Raiders would also be nice, as the teaser showed very little.

Tomodachi Life Living the Dream and Rhythm Heaven New Groove are coming for blood

Hijacking the thread a bit, apart from first weeks, are switch sales according to market and analysis expected? It seems to me there is not much hype at the moment, and I expected to see higher weekly sales. I want to buy one but that thing is massive, also lacks oled. I hope they release a smaller version in the near future.

Sales are higher than just about anyone could reasonably expect

How about not hijacking the thread?

There’s a mega announcement incoming. I see one or two heavy hitters. 3D Mario and…?

If they spend a significant portion of the Direct on Mario Movie stuff I'll be so fucking pissed...
