We just came off the Obon holiday/festival, stock was likely largely wiped out by that, so not much left to go around.

Switch 1 is almost 3:1 above PS5 this week, the old man just refuses to die.

Can confirm, went to a few stores recently. Switch 2 is still full lottery mode. I tried my hand at a crane machine to get one for a few hundred yen, but it felt weighted by something, so maybe impossible. I played Mario Kart world on the demo station, not bad but I couldn't figure out how to drift or anything.

Pretty low numbers for the Switch 2 this week but that's due to stock so doesn't matter as long as it's short lived. If not this might not be the last time the Switch 1 does over 50% of what the Switch 2 does. Strange to see the OLED model of that back at 10k again considering how poor value it is compared to the Switch 2.

Switch 1 is still doing great. It's the #2 best selling system in Japan this week (and this year) by a very comfortable margin. It's not ready to be put out to pasture yet. ;-D
