The stock market will suffer too. Its just stock traders are very stupid and it takes time for them to catch up to the rest. The AI tech bubble is holding them up and it will burst soon.

Not so much they're stupid, but greedy. They'll wring every last drop out of the market before they decide to cash out and leave you holding the bag.

Same difference. Short term profit chasing makes them do stupid shit. The system incentives rank stupidity from the owning class which harms all of us ultimately.

I don't disagree, but most things can be used both positively and negatively. Everyone has a choice to some degree which way to deal with it, or how to avoid it and keep yourself clear of the fallout.

Stock market will go up regardless of the president, in modern history it went up huge under Clinton, went up big under Obama, went up under Trump's first term, went up again under Biden's term. George W. Bush is like the only president where the stock market didn't rise during their term, the triple whammy of the dot com bubble crash (2000), to a lesser extent 9/11 (2001), and to a greater extent the Housing market meltdown of 2008 will do that.

There's always buying pressure on stocks that will push the price up too, people contribute index funds to their 401k every month, that means people are buying stocks no matter what.

Business is business, people don't stop buying/consuming products because one person is president versus someone else. People still go to Starbucks, McDonalds, whatever, parents still have to buy their kids back to school clothes, people still indulge in things like iPhones and game consoles and buying new cars. You still have to pay for cable and internet and people still need to fly places and go on vacation etc. etc. etc. If a president is interfering with that, they will not be in office very long.

You would think that the president who interferes so heavily would face consequences but that doesn't seem to be the case as trump is fine meanwhile he goes scorched earth on global trade, is increasing prices for everything in the US due to stupid tariffs and weirdly terrorizing citizens by sending in the national guard. Oh and also interfering with farming and shit by sending ICE goons everywhere to abduct anyone they please.

US has a stupid system where kicking out the president is insanely hard.

Trump is hurting everyone, even those who wear the red hats. He is for no one and nothing other than himself.

If Trump had taken office at any point in history other than the time he did, he would have been kicked out... fast. But the system is poisoned now, and it's festering. It's rigged, bought and paid for and being run by psychopathic manics, so there is no hope for his removal.

In short, it's the people in charge, not the system. The system is pure, and it's under attack.

Nah the system has always been bad. Trump and the people in charge are just exposing it. A system that has no safety mechanisms against fascist dipshits getting in power is bad. It relied solely on the good will and handshake agreement of the people in power.

And we aren't even talking about all the evils of the system outside Trump. The system was never "pure." It literally started with allowing voting only for land owning non enslaved men. And the senate was built specifically as an antidemocratic force. The system of capitalism is bad and the presidential system is just worse than that parliamentary system.

You can't kick Trump out unless a lot of shit happens due to the presidential system. The parliamentary system much more easily can get the PM removed and the PM has far less unilateral authority.  And bs has been happening in the US for a long while. Like we don't have to pretend anymore that the supreme court didn't help George Bush win the election in 2000 even though Al Gore won the electoral college. That was a stolen and rigged election. Gerrymandering has been a thing for a long time too. Trump and the current Republicans and Democrats are the result of systems and how they developed. Someone like Trump was bound to come.

The US system isn't a problem per se, like any other system, it's that people are not all good, are not all the same, and are not always moral, reasonable, and responsible, at all times no matter how good they are. Not to mention the endless other reasons, like nobody can tell the future, second by second at that.

The more freedom afforded, the more potential for chaos and corruption. Most things in life are simply trade offs. Hindsight is 20/20.

The US system is bad with all these things considered. Many people predicted things like this happening because you could see it coming. This is why having a 200 plus old constitution isn't a flex. Even the founders wanted way more frequent updates to the old document. And the economic system has been predicted to cause these things again and again. Its not some massive shocker.
