Forums - Nintendo - Publishers tripping over each other to grab Conduit

@ Chamelean75 - The game is a new IP that was just announced by a little known dev without a publisher a week or two ago. How many people do you expect to know about it at this point in time?

I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.

Serves me right for challenging his sales predictions!

Makes me wonder if they actually put a genuine effort into courting publishers before their big IGN debut at all, actually.

Well, if it's all somebody's cunning plan, I give them credit for a fantastic payoff. :D

Hahahaha, I hope these 10 publishers keep making bigger and bigger offers until High Voltage gets super rich off this amazing scheme they've cooked up.

+1, Insightful.

At the very least, this means it won't be stuck in development limbo, and we'll probably see it on shelves by the end of the year, if not early next year. That's a VERY good thing

Now, is it the game that they're all trying to publish, or are they all trying to buy the Quantum3 Engine?

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

Perhaps both.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Hmm, wow. All we've seen is that tech demo and some story bits. The demo looks good, but the story sounds awful.

My bets have been on THQ.

cant wait for the conduit

lets hope they have great graphics on the game

Great news. WHo thinks this game will be released in 08?

I think it'll definitely be released in '08. Wii games don't take as long to develop, on average, and they seem to have a very reliable engine in place already. As long as they accept one of these offers soon, I'd put my money on a holiday release. Hopefully it's someone like Ubisoft, who knows how to properly market an awesome game (I can't blink without tripping over an RSV2 ad).

Also, I'm hoping this engine and those it inspires will lead to better quality/more multiplat games on Wii (obviously still not as visually stunning as their HD counterparts, but still great looking)
