Damn, when all you play is the same 2 games (GTA/CoD4)...you don't get much gamerscore.
To anyone going for all the PGR4 achievements - The two street races from the Platinum Plus chapter WILL actually drive you to insanity.
I don't know what's what anymore, but all of you pink elephants better fuck off and leave my brain alone right now! :(

I remember playing Goldeneye 64 so long my vision went blurry. I seriously thought I was going to need glasses because I couldn't read anything unless I brought it extremely close to my face. I spent 2 hours trying to read the first page of a book to no avail until finally I went to sleep and the next morning my eyes were fine. That was a scary moment but it's moments like that which I think define us as gamers.
Another scary moment was when I was at a friends house playing Madden on Sega Genesis for about 7 hours straight. In the middle of the 4th quarter of the last game my thumb stopped working. I just couldn't lift it up no matter how hard I tried. So I used my other hand to pry my fingers off the controller then used my index finger to press the buttons instead of my thumb. I won the game then ran home and soaked my hand in cold water. I was scared as hell because I thought my hand was just dead. I was also scared to show my mother becasue I thought she wouldn't let me play videogames anymore. Once again good old fashioned sleep healed me.

Its a great opportunity to ask questions if you are stuck in a game say, or need help with an Achievement and maybe even find new multiplayer buddies who are online the same time as you. Also, with Fable 2, Too Human, and Banjo all having drop in and drop out co-op, this will be even more useful. |
I have to pre-apologize for my points this week (Probably gold, but I will gladly give it up to someone more deserving). I am not an achievement whore but, one of my friends recently challenged me to finish King Kong and TMNT (Retail) for BBQ steaks and beer. This weekend I breezed through both games, but I also, had to back off and purposely avoid the last checkpoint in CoD4 veteran so that I don't become the high one week achiever of all time. I don't want to be known as having the best one week score ever simply because I finished two games that were very painful to glide through... Next week, I will be back to playing real games again, with real achievements. I wish you could turn achievements off if you don't want them.

You shouldnt feel you have to hold back! :) I say finish off COD4 and set the record for highest week. I will never brand anyone a Gamerscore whore on the official post, and trust me, I will be more impressed that you got that many points in a week. Besides, no one is going to set a record without some easy points. And also you havent got a medal yet so do it in style.
lol I played mario 64 so much it felt like my eyes were bleeding.... I guess it was just my eyes getting used to 64-bit graphics
