We should have an award for the most difficult achievement unlocked in a week.

I pretty much have to give up on this competition because the thought of it is making me change my gaming habit. I play games to enjoy them, not rape gamer score. But this weekend all I could think is "gotta get some points!!!" and instead it should have been "F**k the gamer score I want to play Jade Empire some more." I'm guilty, but not any more.

I mean, I'm not trying to diss anyone but thinking about renting easy 1000 point games just to boost score is stupid. Yeah I got a 1000 points in King Kong, know what? I wanted to, I liked the game, I actually bought it and had no idea it was an easy 1000 points, furthermore I didn't even care about score back then when the system first launched.

But if this is going to become a competition of free time and cheese factor, I have to officially not care anymore.

It's just, a 1000 points in Call of Duty 4 is worth 10 times more in my opinion than a 1000 points in a game that just gives them away.

I dunno, I'm not meaning to diss anyone, but the whole point of video games is to have fun, not to push yourself to rack up a useless score just to one-up everyone else. Wanna go get a 1000 achievements in a game you love? Great. I just think its a little wrong to be ignoring the games you do love to just rent the easy gamer score fix games.
Well I'm not ignoring the great games at all, I mean I already put in 40 hours in devil may cry 4, same thing could be said about call of duty 4. I played alot of multiplayer (it doesn't even give you achievements) although now I play it on the PC, because my friends (not XBL friends) stopped playing it, so now i'm playing it woth some other friends on the pc. Oh and I also still play counter-strike aswell as having a Wii and Ps3, having said that I still enjoy to get achievements and I'm not only getting the achievements for this gamerscore competition, I've got a rival (is also a friend) who just passed me. Oh and BTW I didn't just rented King Kong, you can't even rent games here, I just have so many games still unopenend it's getting myself sick, I buy so many games which I do not even play.

I see, well King Kong is actually a good game, probably dated by now but I liked it.

I do give much credit to anyone with 1000 points in Call of Duty 4 though. I managed to play through the entire game on Veteran (just started on that difficulty) and got to the last 30 minutes of gameplay and it got frustrating hard. It was that part where you are in a missle silo near the end. Anyway, did that over and over and over, kept dying for a week of trying, must have tried it 50 times. Finally I said screw it, beat it on normal and traded it in. Probably should have kept it for online but i was so pissed.

@EaglesEye, lol, don't think I'll be winning it any week. I was proud of my measly (estimate) 350 points lol. Well, at least beats my 30 points for last week!

That sounds like me when I ended CoD2. I just traded it in afterwards, although I had the biggest smile on my face because I knew I won and got all 1000 achievement points.

The only problem with that is opinions might differ on what was actually the hardest.

Also the question would surface, is time consuming the same as hard?

Either way, I think I know what might very well be the hardest, one of the hardest of all time, Beat Smash TV on one Quarter.  I actually don't think one single gamer has that, I could be wrong.

I would say personally I think beating every Expert song with 5 stars in Guitar Hero 3 would be near impossible but boat loads of robotic-fingered freaks have that one already.

@Goddbless
I was thinking of doing that but 1. as sublime said it would be objective, 2. it would require someone looking through everybody who got an achievement which will take half a day probably.

But I think the way it stands its fair, there are 3 spots to win each week, and you dont have to whore to win it. Last week, 390 points already got you Silver, and 330 points got you Bronze.

I appreciate your suggestions though. Keep them coming! I was also thinking of recording new 1000/1000 on any game, but again this is very time-consuming. As it stands, I think points for the week and high score is still good.

Yeah, but you caught everybody by suprise last week, I promise you the numbers are way higher this time around.

I would just keep it like it is though, you will already be spending enough time on it, all my point was... don't expect me to top that list any time soon.

I was just trying to think of a way to acknowledge people who are getting achievements on more difficult games.

GRAW has the f***** hardest achievements i've ever seen (although theres probably harder)

for example, just some of the achievements:

- Committed = play for 8 hours straight on multiplayer

- World champion = Climb to the top of the universal leaderboard!!!!!! -> fu**ing hardest achievement ever!!!!!

- Solo chamption = climb to the top of the solo leaderboard

- team chamption = climb to the top of the team leaderboard

yeah so its settled, GRAW has the hardest achievements. i defy you to name a harder achievement than world champion.
