those Switch 2 numbers are…slightly concerning. Only 25k for DKBananza three weeks after launch? What’s up with that?

Mario Kart 8 refuses to die.

Famitsu adjusted down the Switch 2 lifetime sales by 232,499 units.

Famitsu adjusted down Switch 2 hardware by 232.499 units. From 1.846.889 LTD last week to 1.677.123 LTD this week.

The Switch 1 having its best week since the launch of the Switch 2 while that has easily its worst week yet makes this a pretty strange week. What's even more strange though is the Switch 2 was adjusted down a couple hundred thousand since their estimates were higher than the shipments and now almost exactly matches the Switch's 1 last LTD. Seems Famitsu did a bad job estimating the MyNintendo sales.

MKW was also adjusted down some and I've never seen that sort of thing happen before with Famitsu. This means that the Switch 2's launch week in Japan wasn't as insane as it seemed and it's no longer the fastest selling console in Japan ever with the GBA retaining that crown. I certainly didn't expect the Switch 2 to "lose" over 200k sales week on week and lose that title this fast but here we are. Also I imagine the OLED model randomly increasing to 10k is cause of Switch 2 stock issues.

All three of us pointed out the adjustment within like a minute lol.

Did Famitsu say what weeks they adjusted down? Or are we guessing it is launch week? Or at least most of it is launch week?

Did they announce that it was the launch week they screwed up royally on or was it just each week was off by x amount bring the total to over 200k?

Chris1964 over on Installbase seems to think it could be launch week focused.
