I would vote Crash as the best, followed with Spyro. Everything else would be in a distant third.

Design-wise I think Spyro is the best mascot, but I do think Crash had the better games.

Nah, I get the general sentiment, Croc definitely hasn't aged as well as Crash or Spyro due to its tank controls. That said, I do think it was still a great game for its time, and I do remember it fondly.

Crash or Spyro is a close one for me, each excels in their own way.

Klonoa is better than all of them and I liked Spyro a lot.

Yeah, another vote for Crash here. Those first two games in particular are very good (although I'm a big fan of the first Spyro as well).

I didn't have the PS1 so I didn't play any of these on the PS1. I haven't played Croc or Spyro, but I played the first few Crash games years later on my PS3 and I didn't like any of them. I'm sure part of that is playing them 2 generations later. At least as far as commercials, Crash seemed like Sony's main mascot at the time going after Nintendo.

I love Croc, but there should be no reasoning for voting him over Crash or Spyro lol. I personally prefer the Crash games. Team Racing being the icing on the cake, although I never played Bash.

The music, biomes, edgier character design, and shorter levels had more of an impact on me. I really enjoyed Spyro too, but they felt more childish to me in early pre-teen years lol
