If "the world ends with you" is any indication of innovation from Square,
then the Wiimote could do a lot for JRPGS, remember its
more than just pressing buttons, or waggle, the options open
up for even designs. ie. SSX blur used gestures, Okami drew stuff.
SSX used RF and the accelorometer while Okami uses the IR.
The point is that the question isn't what can it do, it's what can't it do. You figure
that out and you can understand how not to over complicated a game.
Not all JRPGs are menu games or turn based, but even that could be augmented bit by bit,
look at what they did with FF3 on the DS.
Squares quite capable of making a great RPG on the Wii, main FF seems to be the issue though.
Honestly main FF or not I'm sure all Wii owners just want a steady, fun game, they do this and
they have my $50 preordered.
Japan did have access to HD-TV's true, but whats the point if they had to be exposed to the
gradual incline of native 720p to 1080i to 1080p. At a minimum most of them that have
HD tvs should have 720p display.
(I wish I could verify but again I'm on my PS3, and the browser does only the basics.)
In the end you'd figure PS360 would be selling like nicotine laced hot-cakes.
After this post I'm going to find out which System has the most software atm and I'll let ya know
where jrpgs are going. I'm going to count VC also and XBLA and PSN.
