Do you expect the Wii to end up being THE JRPG console this gen?

A lot in Japan. More then the USA i believe. They've had HD content way longer then the US...

of course that hasn't helped the PS3's sales... or maybe it has. Either way it's a non issue.

I still don't get why people would want FF on the Wii. All Final Fantasy has left is it's visuals.

Very little by the way sales are going. Which was sort of my secondary point. HD content really doesn't matter... all that matters is content.

It's like mustard. Even the best mustard in the world is only going to do so much for a boiled hot dog.

Graphics are really only going to matter in a case where the two products are similar enough where you need a change.
