Holy shit. You can use the floating carrier while ziplining now. This is fucking huge. Back to the lines for me, great reason to expand my network. I've a dozen people maxed out. The rest is gonna be so hard cause it is almost all repeat deliveries though I have some recoveries I can do to get a nice chunk on a few outposts.

Nice! Can you still surf on them as well? DS1 had some great snowboarding slopes :)

You can surf on them and skate the slopes are at least four times as high as anything in DS1. Unfortunately you can't hook two together for ziplines, seems like a bit of a weird line in the sand.

Around the Network

Major spoilers for the Map, Items, enemy camp placement and one end game side mission in the video below. I want to post it though cause it encapsulates the whole end game loop of DS2 conpared to DS1 and how different it is, you basically circle the map, loading stuff, raiding camps, taken orders and then offloading all the while changing your mode of transport on the fly to accommodate, there is no set up zipline network and just zip bavk and forth or you'll run out of orders to quickly so you have to do infiltrations, eliminations, destructions and what else. Only one thing is missing, you have to be planning with almost all items depending on orders and are often stopped in your tracks if you haven't planned correctly ot get lucky where someone else has set up ladders, anchors or left a post box. It lacks the simple meditative feel of DS1's end game loop for a still addicting but more engaging experience where you have to use some brain cells. I Platinumed DS2 two hours short of the length it took DS1 but this felt way shorter cause it was so deeply engaging. The game is very impressive.

In the video above it looks easy but I failed a few times and ended up setting things up prior to taking on the order and planning it all out, still had to work on the fly though. It's actually quite a difficult task until you figure out where those items are plan on how to get them efficiently. It is a perfect ending order to a great game and I want to do it again to see how far I can refine it. Love how DS2 has post game missions that are complete surprises sprinkled out nice and evenly.

Turns out people on PRO have a regular loading issue. 118 hours on base ps5, 50/50 on Quality during the story and performance post game and not not once did the game even stutter for a split second.

It has been a few months now and I still can't get this game out of my head. It has left a bigger impression that even DS1. I still look up certain set pieces of the game. The point when Tomorrow fights Higgs just after burning Sam will never not be cool bit the performance of Troy Baker, never have I seen such a thing in games and never will it be beaten, not even those Hollywood actors can come close to what he done here. He HAS to get awarded at TGA and all the others.
