Nintendo's approach to Switch 2 graphics is interesting; rather than pursuing system-pushing new tech they seem to be using most Switch-1-level rendering techniques but increasing the scope and detail and aiming for relatively high native resolutions without DLSS.

Probably a smart move with high end graphics causing so much development bloat these days.

Bloat?

Using top of the line rendering techniques with assets quality that likely takes a good amount of time to produce. Not forgetting the amount of assets needed I  any given scenes effectively knowdays has significantly increased.

Ergo most AAA games knowadays.

Scope of productions and time of productions have increased so much in the last two gens, just as the expectations of seeing better, bigger, newer.

Therefore seeing some development teams sticking their guns to re-using their assets library and rendering techniques throughout multiple games is not as much of a thing than it was at one point.

Doesn't sound economically viable. Like the video game equivalent of the Snow White remake.
