And Nintendo Store + Amazon sales aren't included

Are these sales gonna be included in VGCHartz's Japan June sales numbers article ? @trunkswd

Without any information from Nintendo we have no way of knowing how well it sold at My Nintendo Store. However, with Circana (NPD) data that will give us US numbers and what other data we have should mean our estimates should be fairly close to accurate in the Americas and Europe. It really comes down to how well it sold mainland Asia and MEA (Middle-East and Africa) in week one. I do know there are a lot of Rest of World (RoW) countries it did NOT launch in, so sales there will probably be somewhat limited. Whatever is left to get it to over 3.5 million worldwide would likely be the trackers that don't have My Nintendo Store data.

As of right now with UK, France, and Spain data available Europe sales are likely between 900,000 and 1,000,000 for launch week. Famitsu has it at 947,931 (without My Nintendo Store and Amazon). So between those two alone we are talking nearly 2 million of the 3.5 million launch week sales.

Circana (NPD) for June won't be dropping until July 23.

Looking at the dates March 4, 2000 is a Saturday, so the third day stated would be a Monday and weekly tracking in Japan tends to be Monday through Sunday.

720k shipped by March 6th, so the PS2 did have a lower opening weekend than Switch 2.

Legend11 correctly predicted that GTA IV will outsell Super Smash Bros. Brawl. I was wrong.

Famitsu include games bundles as physical copies

so this begs the question of how many Switch 2 systems were sold through online retailers? Because as far as I‘m aware, Famitsu only accounts for retail.
