I think they looking to soften the massive amounts of PS3/360 GTA4 hype that is coming next week. If Wii outsells the PS3/Xbox combined next week, it will be a huge statement.

geez, nintendo must want to make damn sure the ps3/360 don't outsell them this month due to GTA. the shipments are reaching crazy levels lately.

If launches are on Sundays, retailers are more willing to use them for the Sunday paper advertisements. That's probably the main reason for launching on Sunday.

I already preordered MK:Wii from Gamestop. Good to see Nintendo rocking launches with super Wii supplies.

Anyway, I highly suggest pre-orders for MK, if you expect to get a copy on the first day. Wii-Wheel packins probably means it's harder to produce enough copies.

Anyways, who thinks MKWii week sales will break 750k in the US alone? That would be more in stock than ever before. That would also be down right freaking amazing.

Nintendo obviously wants to hype the hell out of the Wii and the new games to beat Sony and Microsoft this month. If they are able to beat the "biggest game of this gen" that would cause a huge buzz.

I think Mario Kart will at least sell 1 million in the USA.

 Truthfully I hope MKWii sells atleast 750,000 but I only see Wii selling at most 300-350k in that week (if it dosn't it will in the WiiFit week)
