Well, technically, my girlfriend bought it, but I chipped in 15 bucks because of the hefty price tag.
I haven't played it much yet, for about 20 minutes now, but my first impression is that it's a very polished little package.
The Balance Board is a sturdy, incredibly sophisticated and sensitive piece of hardware. It's VERY accurate in movement and weight. I haven't played many mini games (excercises) yet, but the ones I played were pretty fun, but more tricky than you'd imagine.
On the downside, the game looks fugly. I mean, Wii Sports looks like a dream compared to Wii Fit. Alliasing everywhere, no lightning effects, textures are made up by about 4 colors, the polygon counts is probably in the single digits, and there's just nothing pretty to be found here. The art direction is ok, but not great. On the positive side, the menu's are stylished and polished, and very clear. The game also runs at 60 fps @ 480P and 16:9 widescreen But still, this is graphically the weakest game I've ever played on the Wii.
My girlfriend played the game for about 45 minutes, and thinks it's pretty cool. I've looked at her working out some, and the instructions are crystal clear, and I really believe you can train your body with the game.
So far my first impression, I'd give the game around the 8/10 at the moment, but it's pretty hard to rate it on the same scale as "traditional" games.
Make no mistake about it, though. This game is revolutionary, and we'll hear about Wii Fit for years to come.
