Forums - Gaming - Longest gaming session in one sitting you ever did?

The three I can remember.

In 2003, I did 24 straight hours in one sitting. I got an Xbox for my Birthday that came with JSRF, but I also got Shenmue II with it. I sat there and explored that world of Shenmue II as much as I could, every little detail. I didn't even finish the game in that sitting. I played the side games. Explored whatever I could. I did a lot of the story.  Aside from a couple piss breaks I never left that TV.

2011. I imported Xenoblade to the US from the UK's GameStation store. (At the time, NOA had no plans to release the game here.) So I soft-modded my Wii with the homebrew channel. I imported Xenoblade. I spent 19 hours playing it. Exploring and experiencing the story.

Lastly. 2015. Again my birthday, I bought some used games for my PS3 with birthday gift money at my local retro game shop. I picked up Dragon Age: Origins. Despite the bad frame rate, I was engrossed in the game. I started playing roughly 2 PM, and next thing I knew, I looked at my clock and it was after 5 am.

I don't do sessions this long anymore. Not good for your health, physical, or mental. Youth, however, doesn't care lol.

I've been doing 10-15hr at least once a month in GT7. One sitting, no restroom breaks. I have food next to me, eat and drink when I take a pit stop

I know I have done multiple 12+ hour marathons of Halo and WoW back in the day lol.

You called down the thunder, now reap the whirlwind

I know I once played Fire Emblem Awakening for over 7 hours in a day, but probably not more than 3-4 hours in a sitting.
3-4 hours is about as high as I go with maybe one bathroom break. I don't remember the last time I've played a cumulative 5+ hours of gaming in one day.

I believe it was New Years break between 1998 and 1999. Multiplayer Goldeneye 007 back in the N64 era in a cabin in the wilderness. More than 24 hours, thousands and thousands of kills.

Every time we attempted to sleep, it was just fucked up dreams of green outlines and shooting each other. That same session the night before, just before we got into the GE007, we played Resident Evil 1 and 2 back to back.

Now that I think about it, it might have been that nightmarish few days following that unhealthy session that killed any love I had for the FPS genre :D

I used to do that with GT Sport when N24 was on. I still have my notes, 32 races is the most I did in one day (2 lap races starting every 30 minutes, so 16 hours) But there you have a short pause in between races.

Longest in one sitting was a 12 hour endurance race in GT5. I did it again in GT7 but split it over 2 days, left the ps5 paused to sleep.

I've had longer sessions in FS2020, yet there you have auto pilot! I've gone out to get groceries while the plane flew on lol.

Further back Everquest probably had longer sessions. I would start the game Saturday at noon and play until Sunday morning.

Even further back, Civilization, one more turn, why is it getting light again already.

It's all in the past, I can't and don't have the will to do long sessions anymore. 3 hours max nowadays and that's a rarity.

I know this is dumb and crazy at same time but I played Diablo 3 in the launch day in 2012 for 40 hrs... in one sitting

SteamMyAnimeList and Twitter - PSN: Gustavo_Valim - Switch FC: 6390-8693-0129 (=^・ω・^=)

12-14 hours or so...

Paper Mario (N64) - when it was released

18 hours straight (weekend)

Cant do that anymore (and likely good thing I cant) lol

I played Zelda TotK 4d/wk for 12-15hr/day during all of May, June, and July. Never have had sessions go for so long.
