It would have to support Steam Deck at this stage. Nintendo and Steam Deck own the handheld market...

PS5 is not my primary platform, but in theory yes. If it had a good library including worthwhile exclusives.

In practice, probably not. I just don't see it getting meaningful exclusives from third parties and I don't see Sony having good exclusives for both a handheld and a portable.

If it's $500 or under, yeah.
Then again, it would probably have to support its own native games and ports. If it's only PS4 and PS5 digital titles even played natively instead of PS Portal, I don't think I could justify that kind of money. I am getting a Switch 2, after all.

You know Switch is not the same as a phone right? And it can dock.

Very unlikely.

I see no point in Sony wasting resources to make another handheld when all their games are better suited to be enjoyed on a home console.

I'm sort of on the fence for the PlayStation Portal lol.

But I don't like the idea of Sony splitting up their development resources for a dedicated handheld.

Yes. I'm probably one of the few that maximized usage of both PSP and PS Vita.

However, I don't see Sony creating a completely new portable device with separate library like the old traditional handhelds. Nintendo Switch has shown them to keep it all together. If they created a beefier PS Portal that allowed downloading games, with usage of a micro SD, and at a reasonable price then I'm all for it.

Depend on a variety factors, such as price and size.

But if the PS6 had a handheld variant, I'd probably take it.

According to Kepler (a reliable Twitter leaker), the PS6 will have a portable variant that's not as powerful as a PS5.
