Man, to get the project back on course it required the entirety of LEVEL 5's development offices to jump on. Inafune needs to look in the mirror, because has been associated with failed development since leaving CAPCOM and some could easily argue while he was there.

Conman fired? Oh no. Anyway....

Bite my shiny metal cockpit!

Have the PSVita and 3DS versions of Mighty Nº9 been officially cancelled? I remember preordering the 3DS version and immediately cancelling it once the first trailer came out (dodged a bullet there), but I don't remember they actually saying they pulled the plug from those...

You know it deserves the GOTY.

Yes, but only just a couple of months ago.

Will always have respect for him for co-creating Mega Man, but yeah, its not been great after he left Capcom...

All he ever does is do Megaman or Gunvolt, like the guy hasn't really done anything truly creative since leaving Capcom.

Also let's not forget Might Number 9 and how much of a disaster that was.

What I really want to know, is how he hasn't reflected on all these past mistakes and tried something new, a different approach even.

Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.

Inafune, from what I recall, was a Hironobu Sakaguchi type who takes WAY more credit than he deserves. Not sure what he’s been like in the past 20 years though.

His list is not uhhh... it's not exactly stellar after Megaman, and even then, if you look at all of the roles he took, they aren't entirely all based on "yes I 100% made this all by myself", to give him all the kind of credit some give him.

To me, ever since he left Capcom, he just stopped doing anything good, anything new that wasn't a form of a scam, or a copy-cat (mighty Number 9 being a lot like Megaman isn't a new concept, it's actually quite lazy for someone his age to whip something like that up).

To be fair, Keiji Inafune has created the "concept" of a lot of CAPCOM IP's: Mega Man, Onimusha, Lost Planet, Dead Rising, Shadow of Rome + more. The actually development of the idea is then passed to a team and they take it beyond the concept stage.
