another week at +40k !

Is the 40k baseline in danger?

Not much to say this week; Switch slightly dropping every week due to no new games, PS5 slightly climbing in anticipation of Monster Hunter. I do fully expect the PS5 to beat the Switch for maybe a week or two after Wilds comes out, but once we get to the end of March after the release of Xenoblade, I think sales will be back to what they have been lately: Switch ~45,000, PS5 ~12,000.

You'd think, but Switch hardware sales have had this bizarre tendency to peak every time a big PlayStation exclusive releases, so who even knows...

Crazy how PS5 sales were actually down from the week before when FF Rebirth released.  Plus, now there is a Pokemon Presents the day before Wilds comes out, so anything is possible I guess.

The Switch slightly dropping every week is expected considering the Switch 2. Wilds could reverse that for a bit though due to to a portion of people picking up both a PS5 and Switch and it's interesting to see the Lite still up YoY. Another cheap model released in the next few months could give a nice boost for some weeks.
