It sounds really good, but I'll have to give the first one a try to see if it's my type of thing. I was always on the fence about it, my internal voice just never gave me the full go ahead and usually I can rely on its judgment.

Looking like low 90s is a real possibility!

Only one that really stood out to me was Eurogamer and I had to check out what people were on about until I read their review...
Either way it looks like the game is shaping up to being like the original, which sounds promising.
Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.

7 years later and the same smooth-brained criticisms.
From what I can tell they basically kept everything that made the first game a flawed masterpiece, but removed the actual flaws. So the only thing the media agenda can complain about are things gamers actually like.

Also just checked Eurogamer.de and their end gave it a 5/5, so really it's just Eurogamer.com that remains the outlier review that doesn't properly connect with the other reviews, let alone the audience for the first and second game.
Again this just proves that some journos aren't in it for gaming, just to spread misinformation and not talk about the gameplay.

This is looking very promising, especially since it's a type of game that reviewers aren't all that fond of praising nowadays. Regardless of its final score though, I'll be getting it very soon. I just have a couple of games to finish first (including its predecessor).
Yeah, from everything they have shown, it seems like they've really kept to core CRPG values of the old days, while making more modern AAA action-RPG, so commercial success should follow.
