Could be wrong but is Tekken 8 technically the first traditional 3D fighter on the Switch ecosystem? 

Nope, 3ds received a version of Tekken 6 for PSP but with 3D features and Wii U received a Tekken Tag Tournament 2 port.

Edit: Forget about it, I saw Nintendo in your phrase, but you said Switch :x

Not sure if it's a great omen but the Wii U did also launch with Tekken Tag Tourney 2. It is a bit odd that the Switch has games in every genre type but 3D fighters.

Calling Tekken 3D a "Tekken 6 version for 3DS" is quite an overstatement. Tekken 3D lacks like... Everything. Except for the roster xD

As for the leak... I'm concearned about those prices. Switch 1 games are 60 euros tops, with some exceptions at 70 like BotW/TotK or Smash Ultimate.

I hope this doesn't mean both Nintendo and Third Parties are planning to increase the prices for Switch 2 games...
